How much does the Personal History Capsule cost?
Original Capsule (holds up to 1000 frames of film): $24.95
Micro Capsule (you can wear this around your neck): $19.95
Each include:
  • Aluminum Capsule
  • Information Booklet
  • 5 Frames of film

 

 

How much does it cost if I want more pages? 

Microfilm Pricing:  1 - 1000 pages (8.5 x 11 inch)    $1.50 per page

                              1001+ pages (8.5 x 11 inch)       $1.00 per page

 

Why must I photocopy my documents? Wouldn't originals produce better microfilm images? 

This goes to the heart of the importance of your documents. We do not wish to jeopardize documents in transit. Photocopies will be destroyed (shredded) thirty (30) days after you have received your microfilm and CD.

 

 

How do I convert duplicate microfilm images back to paper?

 

 
Most large libraries have microfilm reader/printers that are capable of reproducing images onto 8.5" x 11" paper.

 

Why can't I photograph documents myself and place negatives in my History Capsule?

 

For film (microfilm) to be considered "archival", it must be handled and processed to very stringent specifications.The format of standard film is 35mm microfi lm is 16mm, it won't fit.

 

Can I bury my History Capsule?

 

 

Of course. Your sealed, aluminum History Capsule will resist the elements and keep your documents protected through the years. Just don't forget where you buried it!
